Follow the coastal path to the west and discover Porthoer (Whistling Sands) – a National Trust beach with a charming beach-side café where the sand really does whistle when the conditions are right. And just a smidge further, the beautiful seaside village of Aberdaron, at the tip of the Llyn Peninsula (three and a half miles away). With a thatched roofed tea room, seafront restaurants, obligatory fish and chips, and a glorious sandy beach, this place delivers all the Welsh charms you're chasing.
