We have stayed here a few times now and the barn has everything that you need and is in a great location for exploring the Peak District. Spotlessly clean with great views out of the lounge / kitchen that is on the upper floor and of course it is dog friendly too - what more could you ask for ! We would definitely recommend staying.

We had a fantastic stay at Town End Barn. Great location for visiting Castleton, Edale, Chatsworth, Bakewell and many more attractions. The Barn was spotlessly clean with great views over the hills that surround Bradwell. The village has good amenities - excellent fish and chip shop and bakery, a good size Co Op and 3 pubs. The Barn is dog friendly and is very comfortable for 4 people. We would recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

This is a beautiful and very well equipped barn conversion. Cosy and big enough for four people. There is everything you need here for a great holiday. The location is perfect for exploring the Peak District . We loved Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth. The barn was spotlessly clean and very comfortable beds. Highly recommend this place to stay.

A lovely cottage in superb surroundings with lovely walks.. Only downside was the constant building work going on opposite the cottage which we know is beyond anyone's control.

Lovely clean and comfortable cottage in the centre of the village.. Loved the wood burning stove and the well equipped kitchen. Perfect for three people. The fish and chips shop is just round the corner and serves some of the best ( and cheapest) fish and chips I've ever had!

Very cosy home from home in great location for Dark Peak.. Very clean, comfy bed, cosy lounge, well equipped kitchen - just perfect. Only thing to be aware of for dog owners is that the place has a (very nice) wooden staircase. Our elderly staffy was struggling as this was for her far more slippery than our floors / staircase.

Lovely dog friendly cottage in a convenient location to explore the surrounding area.. There are some lovely local walks & plenty of pubs, cafes & coffee shops along the routes to keep you fed & watered. Cottage was very clean & well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Town End Barn.. It was a great location for our walking weekend. The Barnn was a really comfortable place to stay and had everything we needed. The owners were really helpful with access, checking we were OK and have set up a very good base for walking trips and visiting various locations. We'd definitely go back.

Town End Barn is very well converted property, it had all that we could wish for in comfort and cleanliness.. It is in a very convenient part of Bradwell easy walking to the local shops and pubs, a bus stop around the corner and good off street parking. We would return if ever in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed our break there.

Lovely barn conversion just as described. Close to dog friendly pubs and restaurants and great walks in Bradwell and local area. Close to other lovely villages. Comfy beds, well equipped, imagine will be very warm in winter with central heating and log fire. Lucky to have off street parking too.

Had a lovely time and our little Yorkie enjoyed his walks.. Handy for doing bits of shopping instead of having to drive miles to get anywhere.

This is the 5th holiday my wife and I have spent in this area of Derbyshire, but the first visit to this cottage and we were delighted with it.. The cottage is centrally placed in the village, it was clean and tidy, modern and everything worked. There are 4 pubs within a few minutes walk and we can recommend The Bowling Green, the food was very good and plenty of it especially if you've been out walking all day and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and most importantly for us, dog friendly. Try the local bakery on the main street opposite the Co-op, The Bake house has a great selection of sandwich fillings along with other produce, great value. Bradwell is ideally placed to visit most parts of Derbyshire whether that is to go walking or visiting the various historical homes. We had a great holiday and will definitely be going back to Town End Barn next year.

Town End Barn was a great find and we really appreciated that the owners had left guides to the peaks and there was lots of useful information.. Also, thoughtful touches like leaving a torch we felt was very kind. The location was very central and the local pubs did some fabulous meals! We would definitely recommend staying in this property.

Sykes properties are always good.. The accommodation was perfect for us two. Warm as needed in cold January from the central heating. A very well built barn conversion, lovely oak used throughout and furniture carefully thought out. Easy and convenient access for a large car, a short distance from the main road. Shop only a few minutes walk away. Many interesting walks can start and finish at the cottage without using the car. In all, a lovely place to stay at any season.

The barn conversion was brilliantly located, had everything we needed for the few days we stayed and was a cosy warm retreat after our days exploring in the Peak District..

Superb place to stay, perfect location for Peak District, all walks we did were within about 5 miles of here.. Town End Barn was perfect, spotless upon arrival, all amenities catered for. I’m a bit of a clean freak, was really nice to use a clean oven(we have stayed in numerous other self catering places, trust, there has been some horror stories), great place to stay, would recommend.

Very good conversion, although downstairs bedrooms and upstairs kitchen/diner was confusing at first.. Good quality fixtures and fittings , very clean and comfortable. One of the best we have rented...ever!

Myself, parents and dog stayed here for two nights as a mini break to get away from home and what an amazing find it was. Upon initially finding the barn we thought it may be in the middle of nowhere and were concerned but we were delighted to find that it was set in a nice village with plenty of amenities and lovely friendly locals. The barn itself was very clean, the bedrooms downstairs were cool which was fantastic considering we were there during the heatwave. I loved that everything was labelled too as it made for easier living, the only thing perhaps missing was a hairdryer but during the heat it didn't so much matter. Other than that would happily stay there again, thanks for a great stay!

Nice little basic barn.. Published as sleeps 4 but would be very tight for 4 adults but the second bedroom was a double bed so not suitable for having a couple of kids with you. Not quite sure who it is aimed at. Fine for two.

Town end barn is perfectly situated in a beautiful location yet still surrounded by useful shops and pubs with great beer and even better food.. We chose this spot as it is dog friendly and close to lose hill hotel and spa where my daughter was getting married. In the end we left our dog at home with a dog sitter and we're glad we did as he is a large dog and I think town end barn is best suited to a small dog. We had a perfect week and would highly recommend.

Really great, lovely position in village, extra touches like salt, pepper and vinegar as well as toilet rolls washing up liquid etc - just things that make a difference - I have been in cottages where there is nothing like this and had to rush down shops so went prepared but didn't need them..

Town End Barn is superb.. It had everything we needed for a week self catering. Log burner was fabulous, just what we needed after long walks. Location of the Barn is also great. There are 4 wonderful pubs all within 5 minutes walk, that are extremely dog friendly and do very good food. There are great walks from the village as well as places just a short drive away. It was an ideal place to stay for walking and relaxing. We will definitely be booking it up again. Many thanks. Carla, Mike and Badger the dog.

I booked this property as it sounded good on the description, and looked nice in the pictures and I was not dissapointed. The property is very comfortable and had everything that you need. We did not use the log burner as the weather was hotter than expected, but due to this the opening windows in the roof of the lounge and dining area were very appreciated. The off road parking was a bonus. Very Good base to explore the area.

It might cost users a little extra on their booking fee but WiFi is essential nowadays but unfortunately not available at this property.. The parking available for two cars was a desirable feature that you don't always get in Peak district villages.
