While you’re constantly surrounded by history and culture as you stroll through Edinburgh, this striking city also plays host to gorgeous natural landmarks and green spaces. Just a fifteen-minute walk from the Royal Botanic Gardens, and sitting right by the banks of the Water of Leith, this apartment allows you to experience the city’s urban delights as well as its outdoor offering.

Set in a modern block, the interiors steer away from the rustic Old Town and into 21st-century, New Town style. We love the airy living space, where floor-to-ceiling windows and huge French doors bathe everything in light (even on a rainy, Scottish day). Understated, Scandi-influenced furnishings pepper the lounge, while the bedrooms have quirkier pieces like a green, furry stool and a neon painted version of a Victoria Street scene.

However, despite such tasteful interiors, our favourite spot has to be outside. You’ve got a private balcony where glass bannisters allow for spectacular views of the aforementioned waterway and traditional stone tenements. And with a little alfresco dining spot, it’s the perfect place for tea and a tattie scone in the morning, or a malt whisky on the rocks after dark.
