Perfectly placed to explore the area's beaches, including the crashing surf of Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth), this converted stable block is one of four holiday cottages tucked out of the way on a farm just over a mile outside the popular resort town of Abersoch.
Soaring vaulted ceilings and an open layout make for a sociable home centred around the kitchen and living room. It's a perfect setup for keeping one eye on dinner as you lose yourself in the pages of a good book in front of the fire. The bedrooms bookend the space, with one on its own by the front door and three further rooms located off the snug, including one on the first floor.
On sunny days, sit out in the front garden with a tea cake and a cuppa, while there's a large open field to the rear that's ideally suited for kids to run around and play games. And while the kitchen's equipped with everything you might need to harness your culinary creativity, there's a charming family-run pub in Llanengan, a ten-minute walk down the road.
Home truths: *Given the remote location, we'd recommend a car to fully explore the area – there's on-site parking available for up to five vehicles
*Although three of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, there are a couple of steps between the living and sleeping area, so the home may not be suitable for those with more limited mobility
*Child-friendly amenities such as a cot and highchair are available on request
*The home is located in the grounds of a farm, with three additional holiday homes – rented together, the cottages can sleep up to twenty-eight people
