Light up the wood burner and flop down on the sofa with a glass of wine to watch a blockbuster after a busy day. When you get hungry, you can whip up your favourite hearty dishes in the kitchen – we recommend a classic Sunday roast. And, if the weather is warm, you can enjoy a tipple outside on the terrace, as you breathe in the fresh air and make some plans for your stay.

History buffs are truly spoilt, with Alnwick Castle, Bamburg Castle, and Dunstanburgh Castle all within a short drive. Walkers and cyclists can pack a picnic and explore the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a stone's throw away. And, if you fancy a day trip, you can drive down to Newcastle in around an hour, to immerse yourself in the lively city.
