Welcome to a quaint cottage that feels instantly like home. Built in 1899 and recently renovated in 2012, this cute abode is sprinkled with modern touches whilst maintaining a homespun feel.
Low-vaulted ceilings, wooden flooring and exposed wooden beams lace the living room with a cosy style, complemented by the voguish furniture and colourful rug.
Wander into the kitchen and the vibe changes. The low-vaulted ceiling and wooden beams remain, but they face down upon deluxe fittings and modern kitchen equipment. It's the perfect blend of old-school cool and contemporary quality.
We loved the whole style of the home, but our favourite part was the way it bathed in tranquility. It's tucked away near the sleepy village of Cannich and is surrounded by sweeping green hills.
The courtyard is the best place in the home to enjoy the peace. It's the type of place where you could sit for hours with a cup of tea and a book without hearing a sound.
If you did fancy exploring beyond the courtyard and Cannich, the beauty of Loch Ness is just 25 kilometres away. But if you'd prefer to stay closer to home, various gorgeous walking trails emblazon the local scenery.
Home truths: * There is parking available at the home
* There is a starter pack of logs to throw into the wood burner
* The TV only has channels in English
* The house spans two floors, connected via a stairway
* The owner lives on the same property with their dog, though they give you complete privacy
* We recommend hiring a car to see the beauty of the region
