Cute and cosy, this cottage is a delightful spot for a bit of seaside relaxation in Whitby. It’s a three-minute drive to the centre of town, where fish and chips on the pier, a long stretch of sandy beach and a hodge-podge of gothic alleyways and streets await. The harbourfront is within walking distance if you prefer to stretch your legs.
Although the home itself is modern, there’s something slightly gothic about the interior, in keeping with Whitby’s haunting vibe. Perhaps it’s the midnight-blue walls in the living area or silver gilded mirrors. There’s plenty of room to cook in the full kitchen, and on sunny summer evenings, you can dine outside in the private garden. Both bedrooms are cosy nooks, and the windows in the master open up to a Juliet balcony overlooking the quiet neighbourhood.
Home truths: *Having a car is not necessary, but there is private parking for one car with this home
*There is a secure shed for those that want to bring bicycles
*Both bedrooms are upstairs, so this place may not be suitable for those with limited mobility
*Though there isn't a dedicated desk here, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace
