This charming red brick home in Cardiff has the feel of a modern country house while benefitting from the hustle and bustle of city life. The capacious open plan living space upstairs boasts high vaulted ceilings framed with wooden roof beams, and loft style interiors. Natural wooden floors, an exposed brick wall and Scandi style furniture characterise the space, which is filled with natural light thanks to plenty of windows. The sleek dark lacquered kitchen is well equipped for whipping up home cooked meals, while the glass doors at the other end of the room lead out onto a little balcony. Downstairs there are two cosy bedrooms, and a stone patio outside.

Saltmead is a peaceful neighbourhood in east Cardiff – you’ll find a handful of local pubs, restaurants and chippies within easy walking distance. The city centre is a mile away, as well as the historic Cardiff Castle. After a day of exploring the city, come home and curl up on the sofa for a film on the 50” Smart TV. This house would be perfect for longer stays – if you need to do some remote work, the dining table doubles up as a desk and there’s super fast wi-fi.
