Merlin is a first floor apartment in a converted steading situated twelve miles from Fort William. The apartment sleeps six people and has one double bedroom with an en-suite, two twin rooms and a family bathroom. Also in the apartment is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. Outside is off road parking and shared use of gardens. Set near to a river in a stunning countryside location, Merlin is a wonderful apartment for a family holiday.

All first floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 2 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Shared drying room and outside storage with cycle racks.

Area
Fort William is a town in the Western Highlands on the banks of Loch Linnhe. The town is home to shops and pubs, not to mention beautiful scenery, with Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, close by. Also of note are the Ben Nevis Whisky Distillery and the West Highland Railway.

Region
From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

We all enjoyed our week at Achnacarry.. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean and relaxing. It was unfortunate that with the current pandemic, the museum had to remain closed, we would have enjoyed learning more about the Cameron Clan. We understand why the visitor welcome packs had to be removed, but not knowing the area, it would have been useful to have some local information. On the whole, a very enjoyable holiday, despite the midges!

This 3 bedroom apartment is perfect for either a family or a group of adults sharing a holiday.. It is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The grounds of the Achnacarry Estate are quite stunning and we spent many happy hours exploring them and taking photos. Unfortunately, the deer did not appear that week, which was a very hot one. Perhaps they were keeping cool in the woods. The waterfall is a particular delight and the Cameron Museum is well worth a visit for exhibits and information about the Cameron clan and the Jacobites. We also found the apartment ideally situated for visiting many famous historical sites. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Achnacarry and would certainly recommend it.

Merlin was a beautiful apartment on a remote Scottish Estate, and it really was pretty remote, but with a car was no issue.. The wildlife that visited each evening at dusk was an absolute joy to behold. On one evening 8 large deer were grazing on the grass directly outside our windows - a real bonus. If you want to get close to nature this is definitely the place to go. Although no mobile signal the WiFi was perfect so could keep in touch via WhatsApp. Although being electronically isolated can be quite refreshing. Many thanks, will certainly look at your company again when we are looking for self catering accommodation.

Everything was perfect, from walking in to the well presented apartment to the beautiful location. The accommodation was comfortable and very well equipped for the self catering family. There was stunning wildlife right on our doorstep too, we were visited by a deer on the lawn! We had a fabulous time at Merlin and would not hesitate to book again for next year.

We loved the fact that the apartment was close to a loch with nothing much nearby. We had Deer coming down to the green behind the apartment every evening. There was plenty of other wildlife around the area and the whole location was very peaceful with no noises other than animals.

Wonderful old building that has been beautifully renovated. Comfortable and spacious. All 6 members of our party loved this rental, including 2 children and 2 seniors. It's a little off the beaten path, on large estate with walking trails along water and woods.
