It may look like a typical stone cottage from the outside, but this home is hiding all manner of luxury treats inside its four walls. Divided into two plots, the stay can be combined for large parties – with the added bonus of two kitchens and multiple living rooms. The real surprise? A steam room and sauna to rest those weary bones after long country hikes. Lounge spaces are warmed by log-burning fires, while on hot days, the huge gardens have plenty of space to explore. Kick a football around the pitch, jump on the trampoline or clamber up the playset. There may have to be a coin toss for the master suite, with its romantic four-poster bed and deep jacuzzi tub. If you don't win, not to fret – the rest of the bedrooms are lovely, from pastel walls to views of the rolling Welsh countryside through the sash windows.
