The House: The Stone House on the Quay in Newport town. This little place was built in the 1850s and is tucked away behind the owners house with a private garden and shared courtyard. The original facade of the building was kept and the interior completely remodelled .Full of character and charm and just steps from the quay, great opportunity to enjoy kayaking etc.
New port is a real hidden gem of a village in Mayo. The apartment is just a 5 mins stroll along the river to shops and restaurants – make sure to visit Kellys Kitchen who are famous for their Black & White pudding. This is the perfect location for exploring Mayo – you have Westport just 10 mins away & Achill island just 30mins. Or why not bring your bikes, the house has storage, and take on the Great Western Greenway all the way to Achill Island. A great day out with stunning scenery.
Inside: You enter into a little hall with a utility cupboard (washing machine and dryer), up a couple of steps to a hall with a bedroom with a king sized bed and a shower room. Then upstairs to the bright top floor which has an airy sitting room (with fire) and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a hob, combination microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge. There is no television. The property has One king bedroom plus a sofa bed (1 adult or 2 children), living room/kitchen, shower room. The back door then leads you out to a walled south facing private garden with a view over the river which is for the sole use of the guests.
