Lakeside Cottages is a small complex of 9 lovely cottages (4 star) situated in the heart of the picturesque north west of Ireland, overlooking Lough Scur. The setting is fantastic with plenty of recreational outdoor space and expansive views across the lake. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings while having a barbeque or just sit back and relax taking in the views.

The Cottages are spacious and tastefully furnished to a high standard complete with all mod cons. All have 2 bathrooms, one en suite. Most cottages have open fireplaces, fantastic for that winter getaway.

We have an activity centre, with pedal boats, canoes and water balls, great fun for all ages. There is also a Games room with a pool table and toys, jungle gym for the little ones.

You will find us in Drumcong, County Leitrim, not far from Carrick on Shannon, Drumshambo and Ballinamore. An ideal base from which to explore lovely Leitrim or enjoy fishing the numerous lakes around us. With Adventure Centres and swimming pools nearby there is plenty to occupy children of all ages. There are numerous walking, hiking and cycling trails for those wanting some exercise. Or take a lesson in Western riding at Drumcoura Equestrian Centre.

We stayed here for a week in June and had a brilliant time. The house was very spacious, clean and bright. The only thing we needed to bring with us was some towels, other than that everything we needed was in the house. The surrounding area had plenty of space for the kids to run around and for us to have barbecues in the evening. There is also a games room on the site for all the houses to use, with a pool table and football table, books, magazines and board games. This seemed to be the place for all the kids to meet up and hang out. There are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby and also a cinema and kids' play centre (bowling, kid's play zone, pinball machines, etc.) The houses are right beside a lake. We saw a lot of people had boats and were out fishing on the lake but we used it for swimming most days. Overall, it was a fantastic holiday and we will definitely be returning to stay in The Lakeside Cottages.
