Very nice cottage with everything we needed for cooking and for entertainment.. Beds comfortable and whole house beautifully clean. Good position in the village - easy to walk to shops and pubs but nice quiet spot. Very narrow roads!

The cottage was lovely, everything we could think of was provided and there were comprehensive instructions for the heating and how to use the wood burners.. The location is excellent for exploring the Peak District, and parking wasn't a problem. We would definitely stay here again!

The owner kindly arranged a Christmas tree to welcome us, and some mince pies and bubbly.. There was everything we needed to settle in, and shops close by for extra provisions. The location is lovely for walks, and the log fire perfect for those long dark winter evenings. Cottage very well equipped in every way and a lovely location for a family Christmas away from home.

We booked this 3 bedroom cottage for a long weekend break, with our family.
It is situated on a quiet road in the stunning location of Tideswell, that is a large village with a number of pubs, restaurants and shops.
The cottage is surprisingly spacious, with three double bedrooms and a separate lounge, dining room and kitchen. It is also beautifully presented, with great attention to detail; it felt like a home rather than a holiday let. There are two log burners that we made good use of and they give a lovely homely atmosphere and plenty of heat. We enjoyed eating together in the spacious dining room and the bedrooms are comfortable and relaxing. Our young adult children particularly liked the walk-in shower downstairs and there is also a beautiful bathroom upstairs. The cottage is very well equipped and the furnishings and artwork are pretty and rustic, but is is also very contemporary.
I would have been quite happy to spend the whole weekend relaxing in the cottage but we did enjoy the caves at Buxton, a walk along the Monsal Trial, viewing the tunnels that have now been opened, climbing the rocks at Robin Hood's Stride and a walk at Bradford Dale.
We have have been visiting the Peak District for over 20 years and can safely say that this is the best cottage we have ever stayed in. You won;t be disappointed and the Peak District is a magical place to visit, if you love the countryside and nature.

We absolutely loved Kempshill Cottage.. It is very comfortable and cosy and far better equipped than many rentals. The location and the area are lovely too. We would happily return to this cottage.

Very nice cottage, well decorated with a comfortable, homely feel.. Had some contact with the owner who was very friendly.
The entry to the master bedroom at the top of the staircase is not easy for people who are unsteady on their feet, so we slept in the second bedroom which was great.
Very nice location with great views across Tideswell church.

Beautiful house which was resourced with everything you an think of .. Set in a beautiful place too. Would definately use again. Although there was an outside space at the back of the cottage with a small decking area we did find that we missed a garden at some points in the week - maybe because the weather was superb so it would probably not even have been noticed later on in the year. A great holiday spent .

Lovely cottage in a nice little village.. Ideal location for visiting Buxton and all areas of the Peak District. The kitchen was well equipped apart from a couple of things - there was no potato masher and only 2 medium pans and a very small one. Not really enough for a family. Just thought that was worth a mention, but in no way affected the enjoyment of our holiday. Would be happy to recommend the cottage to anyone. All in all a lovely long weekend break.

Thank you very much for your lovely feeedback. Just wanted to point out that the Potato Masher is in the bottom drawer, (as it does not fit in the top drawer ) along with 2 further saucepans.
I am glad that you had a lovely time in our cottage.

Very narrow access roads and parking is rather tight, but Tideswell is a fabulous small town, good pubs, restaurant and fabulous fish and chips at Elliotts.. Take care about bashing your head though on low beams and doorways...

Wonderful cottage, very comfortable and so user friendly (no spending ages working out how to use cooker/heating etc).. You can tell it's a much loved home as well as a rental cottage. Great walking from the door. We were lucky & even though it was November we had great weather but if not there's still plenty to do in Derbyshire. There's no negatives to Kempsill Cottage, we were a party of 5 lady friends & all felt the same way...... Sad to leave!

The Cottage was fantastic, it was exactely what we had looked for.. Very well appointed, and some really nice 'attention to detail' touches. Within easy reach of local stores, bus routes and walks. We will book again.

Apart from the dodgy weather we had a great time.. The cottage was lovely. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water and very well equipped.
