June into July Self-Catering
Perched right on the edge of The Cotswolds, this quaint cottage has everything you could ask for from a countryside getaway. A charming living room complete with exposed stonework, wooden ceiling beams and a log-burning stove? Check. A manicured mature garden with plenty of seating and a charcoal barbecue for summer feasts? Tick. How about a view of the village church from the bedroom window? They've got you covered. The local area helps you fulfil the full rural fantasy, too. The top of Meon Hill can be reached in an hour's walk if you want a photogenic vantage point, while the beautiful Arts and Craft-inspired, National Trust garden in Hidcote takes around ten minutes to get to in the car. Even closer to home, there are two pubs in the village, as well as a community shop and cafe run by volunteers.
Home truths: *The Freezer is only a small compartment freezer
*There's free on-street parking available in the village and a lay-by for a small car directly in front of the cottage
*A travel cot, baby bath and high chair can be provided by the host upon request
*One small and well-behaved dog is allowed at an extra cost of £40 — there's a dog bowl and bed in the utility cupboard under the stairs
*A starter supply of wood is provided for the log-burning stove and further supplies can be purchased locally
*The home is spread across two levels and there's uneven flooring on the first floor, so it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility
