Lovely house in a beautiful, serene setting close to all Co Sligo and the North West has to offer..Great space for a large group and the kids will love the back garden equipped with 2 goal posts. The house accommodated 11 of us ranging from 3 to 63 and was a home away from home.. The house was very clean both inside and out and the host Liz was very friendly, accomodating and the cakes went down a treat..Even though the weather was poor we still explored the area every day..Must see is Lough Key the boat trip was well worth it and the crew told us a great place to swim..Doon Shore (on Lough Key) and it was only a few mins drive from the house..Carrowkeel Tombs, the Caves of Kesh are all a few mins drive..Kesh has a lovely playground for the kids..Couldn't recommend this home enough..definetly one to come back to. Thanks Liz.

Our family party of 9 including a 1 year old baby stayed at Ivy House in June 2019. Our stay was fabulous! Liz was just a joy, so friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother! The house is so spacious and the gardens are fabulous, plenty of space to play in, the house was perfectly kitted out for our baby including stair gates, travel cot and high chair, perfect and just what's needed when holidaying with a baby. Everyone really enjoyed their stay, lots to do nearby and its easy to get to the surrounding towns/villages. Beaches are nearby too, just a short drive to Rosses Point and Strandhill, both are lovely!! Would highly recommend Ivy House!! Thanks again Liz & Family!! The McNamme's

We first booked this lovely house in April and after our stay we had to come back in December. After a lifetime of holidays in the Boyle area staying in our grandmother's house, this is the only place that fulfilled our needs when she passed. Beautiful quiet country location with gated drive and privacy. Situated on a working farm next door with the pleasant sound of cattle and peace and tranquility. A lovely modern house with yet some rustic old charm that works in harmony. The owners Liz and Bernard couldn't do more for us and the house has absolutely everything we needed from tea, coffe, sugar, washing up liquid to every cooking utensil and even has a dishwasher, as well as tin foil and kitchen towel!! The Little things that go a long way when staying elsewhere . A home from home and will be going back again. Although only 3 of us stayed would be ideal for more people. The house warms up very quickly and we were left a beautiful welcoming fire on arrival. Can highly recommend this home if you want a peaceful relaxed break.

Lovely big cottage in beautiful setting.. Bernard and Elizabeth (the owners) were brilliant and very helpful. There is plenty of space for children to play and not overlooked except for a cow in the field nearby!! Would thoughtly recommend for a quiet holiday away from it all. Nearest towns for food shopping and banks with ATM were approx. 5 to 6 miles away. Supermarkets were stocked very well and had everything you needed. The is a lovely waterfall with adequate parking next to a large lake and a good little cafe for lunch and drinks. The drive from Dublin is around 2 hours and nearest airport is Knock which is around 35 to 40 mins with hire car facilities.

We had a marvellous welcome from Liz & Bernard, they could not have been kinder or more hospitable.. The house is large, comfortable and in an excellent location between Boyle & Ballymote, ideal for exploring the Kesh Caves, Lough Key, Carrowkeel & many other local places of interest.

House was very clean and a good size if very dated, however it is certainly not 5km to Boyle. A sign 100 meters from the house says Boyle 10km.!!! Much further away than we wanted. Very rural road which made it difficult to go out at night. Nearest pub is advertised as 500 meters however we passed it while driving and sat nav said 1100 meters from the house. We paid top money for a week in August but felt it was a bit unsafe for our small children as grounds were not private. Vans drove through a dirt track in front of the house on numerous occasions. Only a small little garden at the house not the acre as advertised.

Ivy cottage is a fantastic large house with everything you need and more.. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The house is very clean and well furnished. While it is in the country it is only 2.5 miles from the N4 which provided easy access to Sligo town, Carrick on Shannon, Boyle etc. There is plenty to see and do in the area. Mr and Mrs Dwyer exemplify all that is great about Irish hospitality and I would be very happy to recommend this beautiful house. We enjoyed a family reunion, consisting of 9 adults. We were all very comfortable in Ivy House and will always have very happy memories of our stay in Ivy House.

Ivy House is a great holiday location and had all the facilities you need for modern day living.. It easily facilitated our party of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids). The owners were lovely and greeted us on arrival and helped us settle in well. They provided a local map of all the nearby attractions and we had plenty of activities to keep 4 adults and 6 children happily occupied all week. In the evening time we had BBQ's outside the back of the house overlooking their big garden where the kids played. The house has 2 big livings rooms with TV's, so plenty of recreational space. All-in-all, a lovely modern big clean house, in a great location with plenty of nearby attractions. I would definitely recommend Ivy House for your perfect family holiday!

Hi Sykes My family just returned from our holiday at the Ivy House Sligo.. we had a fantastic time the weather was mixed but good and my family had a fantastic time at this lovely house. Elizabeth (Liz) was great as a host and showed us the whole house and all its facilities upon our arrival. The house was fantastic with lots of space which is important to me as I have seven children so for the party of nine which I have, we had lots of space to move about. One of the things we loved about the house was the front garden and the grandeur drive way and also the great view of the mountain. The website pictures doesn't fully do it justice. we also loved the mini football field with goal post. The boys had a great time trying to score goals against me, they gave up after a while of trying and they had a round of kick about against the older girls. One of the memorable likes especially for my wife and children was the occasional mowing of the cow and her little calf and the trips to the beach in Strandhill and Rosses point All in all we loved the house, the location and plenty to do in Sligo. Thank you Liz for allowing us to use your home for the week of our stay. Hopefully we can utilise it again in the future.

An excellent, well maintained, spotless home which the owners should be proud of.. The perfect hosts who are willing to do anything to make your stay as comfortable & as welcoming as possible. This is a gem of a house. It is HUGE with enough space to loose yourself in one of the 3 reception rooms or 5 bedrooms even with children running about. The gardens are well maintained & private & secure with enough space for the children to play. The location is out of the way but idyllic with the house being an excellent base for exploring the local area. It was brilliant to spend long days away keeping the children active to come home to such a relaxing & chilled out environment. The beds are so comfortable & we all had a perfect nights sleep, every night. Everything is supplied so we had no need to worry about a thing. The house is spotlessly clean with Elizabeth ensuring that it is so before arrival. I cannot fault the place. I would highly recommend this as an ideal home for a family or adults seeking a sound base for exploring Lough Key, Boyle & Carrick-on-Shannon for example.

The house was every bit as beautiful in reality as the pictures on the website. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and included little details that made it feel homely. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. I can't rate this house highly enough.

The owners of Ivy House made us feel extremely welcome, and were happy to accommodate us in any way. The house is on a beautiful plot, which has a lovely garden and is very private. The house can easily accommodate a group of people but it was also great for my family of four. We will definitely visit Ivy House again.
