Self-Catering Holiday Cottage Bourton-on-the-Water

Honey to the Bee in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire

From: €203 nightly Guests 6 Rooms 3 Bathroom 2

Honey to the Bee Self-Catering

It's hard to find a much more classically Cotswold cottage than this three-bedroom home tucked away down a little lane in the charming village of Lower Oddington. With two popular country pubs within walking distance and the organic Daylesford Farm a mile down the road, this home is perfectly set up for a group of friends or a family to experience what the Cotwolds is all about.

Step inside the cosy cottage, and you'll discover a relaxing space that's decorated in neutral tones that match the colours you'll see as you hike and bike through the pristine landscapes on your doorstep, while the wood-burner helps to warm you up after wintry walks. Elsewhere, there's a stylish kitchen and dining area with plenty of space for six. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms (one en-suite) that are a good size with plenty of storage space.

For those who want to explore the local area, the enchanting hilltop town of Stow-on-the-Wold is a few miles away, the charms of Chipping Campden are just twenty minutes in the car, and the resplendent Regency spa town of Cheltenham just a forty-minute drive from your front door.

Home truths:
*We'd recommend bringing a car to explore the area – there's free on-street parking
*There's a private entrance to the home
*Your host can provide a highchair, stairgate and a cot for little ones – bring your own linen
*This home can accommodate a seventh guest (under 12) on a pull-out bed
*It's laid out over three floors, so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility
*Mobile phone reception can be patchy, but the 300Mbps wi-fi will keep you connected
*Bedroom three occupies the loft space, so it has low sloping ceilings that are best suited to shorter guests
*While there's no tumble dryer, your host can provide a clothes airer
*A starter supply of wood is provided for the wood-burning stoves from October to April only
