At this lovely stone farm cottage, adopting the slow pace of nature and taking it easy is widely encouraged as you unwind in its fairy tale atmosphere and quirky interior. Located within a courtyard of a working farm, it’s an animal lover’s dream – not to mention the well-known farm shop on your doorstep so you can pack the country-style kitchen with fresh, local produce. When you aren’t snuggled up on the sofa or catching a quick cat nap in your rustic bedroom, you can sip your morning coffee on the private patio, taking in the blooming garden, while saying hello to a cow or two. We can vouch for the panoramic views over the rolling green hills and country fields too. Although two people can enjoy the comfortable bed, we would happily stay here alone for a calming solo trip. Guests are welcome to wander around the extensive garden, which even includes a picturesque bridge over the lilly pond (don’t worry, we’ve checked for trolls). And if you can drag yourself away from the peace and quiet of your pretty barn conversion home, you can spend days exploring the beach at Colwyn Bay, or the promenade of Llandudno, and even the mountains of Snowdonia National Park. All located within a 15-minute drive.
