Lying on the banks of Loch Linnhe is Fort William, the main town of the Western Highlands offering a variety of quaint shops, pubs, and restaurants. The area is known for its fine walking and cycling opportunities for all ages and abilities amongst the varying terrains, and more notably, Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The Nevis Range ski resort rests in Fort William as well as there being a World Cup mountain biking course just four miles from the town, making it the ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure.
