Had a great holiday.. House was good with room for the whole family. Owners very helpful.

The house and hosts were great.. Interacting with Sykes seemed to just involve painfully communicating with a glitchy computer programme; so many generic emails, non-responses, and a mess-up regarding insurance. The payment system took so many tries to work even though I was using a standard Visa card, the company provided no support other than more automated emails threatening that the booking would be cancelled if the payment didn't go through - the problem was definitely not on my end. Even the initial email I got a couple of weeks ago to send in feedback contained a broken link. When I responded to ask for a working link I got no response. Overly reliant on ineffective automation, a service the host shouldn't waste his money on. If it's not automated, the people working for the company are terrible at basically tweaking form letters. I'd recommend the house to anyone, but tell them to go through a different company and I will tell the host as much also.
