Burke Cottage is an end-terrace cottage situated in the town of Lismore, County Waterford. The cottage offers all ground floor accommodation and sleeps five people in three bedrooms - one single, one double with feature fireplace and one double with en-suite shower, basin and WC. There is also a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The living accommodation comprises a compact fitted kitchen with dining area, a utility room and a sitting room with woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a large rear garden with decked area, furniture and BBQ. With the amenities of Lismore on the doorstep and beaches within easy driving distance, Burke Cottage makes a great base for a holiday in County Waterford.

Area
The heritage town of Lismore is home to a castle with Jacobean gardens and a 17th century hilltop cathedral. Enjoy pubs with live music, numerous eateries and a golf course. The stunning coastline between Youghal and Dungarvan is nearby with beaches, bays and cliff tops, or pick up some crystal in Waterford City and take advantage of the city's shops, pubs and restaurants.

Known as the "Sunny South East", the counties of Wicklow, Wexford, Waterford, and Tipperary offer everything you could need for a dream holiday in Ireland. Miles of sandy beach and scenic drives taking in mountains and coast are on your doorstep.

Our Cottage (Burke Cottage) in Lismore Co.. Waterford was comfortable and clean.The large decked area was great for relaxing and for the dogs. The cottage was In a great location within the town. lots of great walks within the local area.Teresa the caretaker lives opposite and was always at hand to address any minor issue's.

There are no towel rails or hooks in the bathroom or en suite, and the fan does not remove the condensation, so the towels had to be taken into the utility every day to dry out.. The en suite has no toilet roll holder either. The plug mechanism bath did not work - it had to be pulled up manually, which was a problem for 93 year old arthritic fingers (and my nails) and Luckily we always carry a universal plug in our wash bag but I had to go and by another from the local hardware store as the bathroom hand basin plug did not fit properly and the water kept draining away Apart from those relatively minor inconveniences, we were very happy with the cottage and Theresa was very helpful on our arrival and in sorting out access to the off road parking - perhaps a sign could be made for the gates to prevent others parking across the entrance? We definitely intend to book Burke Cottage again

The cottage met our every need and having the enclosed garden for the dogs was brilliant.. The garden is not escape proof but this was not an issue for our girls. The beds were very comfy and nothing was missing from the cottage, there was even some milk so we could make a drink on arrival.

A lovely cottage in a great location with a well equipped kitchen. A great base to see Waterford and Cork. Had a great garden for the dogs and lovely walks close by.
