Recently updated and now boasting a chic monochrome look, Bruce Modern is the ideal base for two guests to explore the Scottish capital. Located in Stockbridge, just north of Edinburgh’s New Town, this area is popular thanks to its village-like feel and abundance of hip coffee shops, great restaurants and plenty of local attractions. Stroll through the picturesque Royal Botanical Garden or visit the weekly Stockbridge market to stock up on fresh food or souvenirs. Better yet, you’re within easy walking distance of the city centre. Edinburgh Castle, for example, is just a twenty-seven-minute walk from home. If you’re visiting during the Fringe, you’ll be glad for the proximity to the venues and just as happy when you can escape the crowds and head back to your cosy digs after a busy day. Upon arrival, you'll find a sleek interior with black wooden floors and a striking fireplace at the centrepiece of the living room. Finished off with stylish decor, a velvet sofa and a marble-top coffee table, the space is refined yet modern. Through to the bedroom, it's a comfy and inviting area to unwind, with beige bedding, a wooden bedside table and a steel bedframe. But the real highlight of this home is the communal rooftop terrace – complete with decking, garden tables and chairs plus its own barbecue. We know where we'd bookmark our stay in Scotland.
