Tramore is nationally known as a family beach holiday destination. Some people come here for the Amusement Park, Burgers and Chips while others for the breath taking natural resources and activities that this area has to offer.
Tramore or "Trá Mhór" in Irish means "Big Beach" and this is a 7 mile long Blue Flag beach with Lifeguard Patrols at peak holiday times.
The beach is met by sand dunes (locally called the rabbit burrows) and a protected wetland popular with migrating wildlife.
