We love the deep blue feature wall in the living area that lends a calm vibe to the proceedings, while the bright bedroom with its decorative fireplace and scenic French windows is pretty as a picture. There’s a desk space here too should you need to catch up on work, but with so much to see and do nearby, we recommend choosing less work and more play.

Speaking of venturing out, head to the Lyon Botanical Garden for a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, or visit the beautiful Porte des Enfants du Rhône. Across the Rhône river, meanwhile, you’ll find Palais de la Bourse de Lyon, as well as bustling Place de la République.
