Surrounded by rolling Welsh hills, glimpses of mountains and historic dry stone walls, this cottage in Snowdonia National Park is a home from home. With nothing but the birds to sing you to sleep, the home is in a wonderfully quiet location. For walkers, there are trails that lead off in every direction, while on sunny days, the coast is a 25-minute drive away. On your return, soak in the deep bathtub or fire up the barbecue as the sun starts to set over the peaks. On cooler days, the spot is full of cosy features to keep you snug, from wood-burning fireplaces in the living areas to a comfy conservatory for curling up with a good book. Interiors are quintessentially countryside, with heavy wooden ceiling beams, flagstone floors, and thick stone walls. Our favourite spot? Right by the fire in the comfortable TV room.
